Our story
The Mauritian dronte (Raphus cucullatus), also known as the mockingbird, is an extinct species of flightless bird or also the name of our DRONTE Centre.
The creation of DRONTE
The Czech-Slovak Dronte centre was established in 2008 and is the largest boat rental centre on the beautiful Hron River.
Dronte is situated on the right bank of the Hron River, in the village of Nemecká, at river kilometre 204.4.
Our co-owners in the Czech Republic raft the rivers Berounka, Ohře, Lužnice, Otava, Vltava and Sázava. More at www.dronte.cz
CAMP
In our centre Dronte - Nemecká we run a boating camp together with a rental shop.
The campsite has an area of 1 hectare with beautiful views of the Slovak Mountains and the Low Tatras.
We offer:
